Another World is Possible Fund is supporting Compañeros: Four Corners Immigrant Resource Center (Compañeros) with funds for organizational resiliency, strategic planning, fundraising, and recession-proof budgeting.
“Although we have been fortunate to obtain rapid response funding made available to support nonprofits during the COVID-19 crisis, we are uncertain about our long-term funding prospects. Most of our funders would be vulnerable to an economic recession because they derive their income from investment interest or business income, and several have already informed us of the possibility that they will be unable to fund us next year as a result. We seek to be prepared for this potential contraction in our funding to ensure our long-term stability so that we can continue to serve our constituents uninterrupted, as their needs will only intensify along with the crisis.”
