Mission: El Movimiento Sigue is a Chicanx-led social justice organization with over 50 years of grassroots advocacy. Our mission is to amplify marginalized voices and build collective power through community-based media and communications strategies. By leveraging culturally rooted storytelling and alternative media platforms, El Movimiento Sigue addresses systemic issues such as poverty, incarceration, and racial inequality. Our flagship media project, La Cucaracha, has been a vital tool for promoting equity and empowering underserved communities since its founding in the 1970s.
