Mission: Sister-to-Sister, Inc. is a Black-led, Colorado-based nonprofit fostering health equity and community organizing. Our mission is to advance equity in all aspects of Black women and girls’ lives through community, vital education, scholarship, social connectivity, emotional support, networking, and forums to showcase their creativity in a global environment.
We work to advance health equity for Black, Indigenous, and People of Color communities, with a primary focus on BIPOC women, through constituent-driven convenings, information equity, and collective advocacy. We are committed to removing barriers to culturally and linguistically appropriate care, empowering women to make informed health decisions, and improving outcomes in maternal and reproductive health, chronic disease prevention, and mental wellness. Our work centers the authentic voices and leadership of BIPOC women, uplifts intersectional experience (including disability, LGBTQ+, immigrant, and low-income status), and pursues evidence-based interventions, education, and advocacy for sustainable change across generations.
