Mission: Shop Talk Lives uses barber shops in the African-American community as staging grounds for community forums. We in the African-American community understand that the umbrella terms, “Minority,” or “People of Color,” do not always accurately encompass the specific needs of marginalized groups. Thus, our forums are targeted toward the needs of the black community, with open doors to all who wish to participate and ally with us. These forums create critical conversations that rebuild trust and repair relationships in our community. Shop Talk Live serves as a bridge to connect the community to resources, and to each other.
