Mission: The Resident Leadership Council (RLC) is a group of community leaders dedicated to fostering an equitable, empowered community in Aurora and its surroundings, with a focus on BIPOC and immigrant populations. Our mission is to promote equitable access to education, health, and economic development through grassroots organizing, advocacy, and collaboration. We prioritize listening to and learning from the diverse voices within our community. Most importantly, we empower residents to drive meaningful change. To enact this, we invest in leadership development, skill-building, and civic engagement to cultivate a sustainable framework for collective action. Collaborating with community organizations, government agencies, and stakeholders, we amplify our impact and leverage resources to address complex challenges effectively. We foster a culture of accountability, transparency, and continuous learning, regularly evaluating our work to ensure responsiveness to community needs.
