Since July of 2013, members of the Montbello Community have met, at the inquiry of two foundations, to examine existing assets as well as ways to improve the community. The primary purposes of the exploratory committee have been to determine ways to begin engaging the larger Montbello community in organizing, pinpointing leadership and potential funding streams to support these efforts. Their goal is to help bring the community together around issues, to aid in developing a voice —along with power and strength—such that the members of the Montbello community can help make the changes they envision for their community.
