Use of Funds: Kaizen was able to sustain itself throughout the pandemic with funding from Chinook Fund – The Giving Project and Another World is Possible. Funding enabled our grassroots organization, communities facing food apartheid and local BIPOC nonprofits to cross-pollinate – in coming together and address shared problems and goals around food justice, food apartheid and food sovereignty. Therefore, addressing our mission and long-term vision to continuously improve food security and food justice, because we believe healthy and culturally relevant food should be accessible to all.
