Hispanic Affairs Project is dedicated to providing attention to the needs and social development of the Hispanic Immigrant community through a focus on leadership formation, community organizing and advocacy; HAP is a 501c3 organization serving the immigrant communities in Western Colorado.

Accomplishments:

Created ‘Health Equity Team’ to further conversation on health justice.
Hispanic Affairs Project (HAP) Receives Recognition & Accreditation from the Board of Immigration Appeals (BIA) of the Department of Justice to Offer Legal Assistance to Low-Income Families.
Campaigns & Current Work:

Sheephearded Campaign to raise awareness and improve the living & working conditions of H2A workers.
Meeting with Western Colorado senators about immigration reform needs.
Providing help to the Hispanic community, expanded their services by offering a legal assistance program.
The program will now offer legal guidance to low-income families needing immigration assistance in an effort to help keep families together. Link to news story here.
