Mission: To promote American Indian resilience, Four Winds provides a community stronghold for Natives to express our spiritual, cultural, environmental and political identity. The Indigenous Permaculture Garden Project at Four Winds weaves innovative science and traditional ecological knowledge from diverse First Nations People of Turtle Island to encourage healthier lifeways for our Seven Generations to come. Our indigenous garden promotes food justice and healthier lifeways by helping reverse decades of US government policies that have led to Native diabetes, obesity, heart and liver disease. The Permaculture Gardening Project also nurtures healthier sustainable life ways through our hands on workshops and informational and visual presentations about Indigenous Permaculture.
